The HF R11 has been replaced by the HF R21, which offers a handful of advantages. The HF R11 is still a solid buy if you can find it for a decent price, but that looks pretty difficult these days. Here's what we said when it was released in early 2010:

The HF R11 is a slight upgrade on the very similar R10 model, with the difference being the internal storage (read our hands-on review of the HF-R10). The R11 offers 32GB of internal storage, along with SD memory card capability. Relay Recording will switch from one to the other if your memory runs out. This camcorder gives you high definition video along with tons of useful features like Dynamic Image Stabilization, Quick Start, Smart Auto modes, and more. Just another consumer-friendly HD option to consider.
