GoPro HERO3 Black Edition
Preview of the GoPro HERO3 Black Edition.

Hey! You should know that GoPro has released a newer version of this product: the GoPro HERO3+ Silver Edition.

GoPro has long been setting the standard for wearable and mountable action cams. The manufacturer is continuing their rep with the number one seller in the camcorder category on Amazon, the GoPro HERO3 Black Edition. Over the previous model, the HERO3 is 25 percent lighter and 2x faster, plus has a redesigned audio system. The Black Edition is the most expensive, but includes wi-fi and a wi-fi remote. The Black also has a 30 fps burst mode for photos while the Silver has only 10 fps and the White 3 fps. The Black Edition also has more frame rate options that are better for shooting or viewing in slow motion over the Silver and White models. The GoPro models can be pricey, however, especially considering that some options, like an electronic viewfinder, are sold separately when other mountable models have them built-in.
