Editor's Review
JVC is a camcorder maker, not a digital camera company, yet they are truly attempting to bridge the gap with the hybrid PX10. Honestly this model could have gone in either category, yet we've decided to place it here with the camcorders due to the 32GB internal memory and enormous, camcorder-like 10x optical zoom. While the 1080p HD video quality outputs at a very good 36 mbps and is quite clean, as a hybrid the camera falls a bit short. The 12 megapixel stills are decent but there aren't any real controls for adjusting manual settings, with JVC hoping the touchscreen will suffice. If you want good stills and decent video go for a mirrorless camera, otherwise settle for something else. For $799 you can do better.
