The JVC HM450 is a low-to-mid-range camcorder; that basically means 1080p video from an average sensor. It's HD video on a budget, and there will be video quality sacrifices because of it, but the feature set is stacked enough to compensate somewhat. Take, for instance, the massive 40x optical zoom and the time-lapse capability. The HM450 is a reasonable $350; also check out the HM440, which records exclusively to cards.
