Kodak's last few pocket camcorders (Playsport, Zi8) have been pitch-perfect examples of the genre. Very good video quality, a foolproof interface, an external microphone input, and some of the lowest pocket-cam price tags put the latest Kodaks at the top of the heap. Kodak's back once again with the new PlayTouch, a sleeker, big-screened variant. It features a 3-inch capacitive touchscreen LCD, which should make group-viewing more comfortable, but more importantly, should improve in-camera editing. Otherwise, we expect that the video quality should be roughly equal to the Zi8 and Playsport (which is a good thing), though the price tag is significantly higher, at $230. This makes the PlayTouch a bit of a tougher sell, but it still looks to be a better big-screen option than the Flip Slide HD.
