The Panasonic SDR-S100 is a good tapeless camcorder, recording your home movies to a memory card. It was only a matter of time before memory cards crept over from digital cameras and into camcorders. The Panasonic SDR-S100 uses Secure Digital memory cards, which allow the camcorder to be smaller than ever before. Your home movies now rest on the card, which can be connected to a computer or inserted in your computer's card reader for editing, emailing, or storing. While the options are nice, you'll get a slightly less vivid movie than with higher-end tape camcorders, but if you're not a stickler for super-slick videos, the SDR-S100 won't annoy you too much.
