A standard definition model, the S70 forgoes built-in memory for a card slot that accepts SDXC, SDHC or SD memory cards. It is in every other respect identical to the also-announced H100 and T70, featuring a stabilized 70x optical zoom that starts at a relatively wide 33mm. Other features include subject tracking, face detection, and the Intelligent Auto Suite. No, it's not a flashy HD shooter, but that telescopic zoom lens is something to behold -- just make sure to set some extra cash aside for a tripod.
