The CG102 is one of three new HD camcorders from Sanyo that also capture full 14-megapixel resolution still photos. This model is highly similar to the GH2, released at the same time; in fact, the only real difference between the two cameras is their body design. The GH2 is a traditional horizontal camera, while the CG102 has a "vertical" style. Choosing between them will just depend on how you like to shoot best. The CG102 looks like a promising addition to the HD camcorder line-up, with a quality 38mm wide angle lens, lots of functional features such as Face Detection and Advanced Zoom during video recording, which multiplies the lens' zoom factor without degrading image quality.
