The Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD700 is a compact, HD-capable camcorder with a nice feature set including 7-megapixel still image recording. The camera uses the highly-efficient AVC/H.264 codec to save on memory card space, storing up to 2 hours and 45 minutes of 720p HD video on an 8GB SD/SDHC card. The HD700 also has impressive still image capability, recording 7-megapixel shots. Image stabilization prevents blur due to camera shake, and shot composition is simple thanks to a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD display with 285 degree rotation.
