Sony HDR-AS20 Review
The Sony AS20 isn't all about longevity, video quality should be top notch too. The AS20 records 1080/60p video on a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor. The maximum bit rate is 28 Mbps, which is excellent for the category. There are six different video modes to choose from, including slow motion.
The f2.8 lens captures a nice, wide 170 degree point of view. Sony's previous action cams have been praised for their image stabilization and the AS20 shouldn't be any different here.
The Sony AS20 includes a case that makes the camera water, dust and shockproof. Sony isn't new to the action camera genre, so there are plenty of mounting accessories available as well. The on-board wi-fi is compatible with Android and OIS devices, as well as the Sony remote that can control up to five action cams at once. The AS20, like most small camcorders, takes mini SD cards.
Sony's action cams have been well received, and we expect the AS20 to live up to expectations.
