Camcorders with Internal Hard Disks
Finally, you can get rid of annoying tapes and record directly to a hard disk built in to these camcorders. This is a recent innovation, and very popular—we think it's a good thing. The main concern with hard disk based camcorders is that the disk is not removable: once it's filled up, you have to move it to your computer or a DVD, or delete what you have on the disk already to make more room. On the bright side, the hard disk sizes are rather large, so you'll be able to record a lot of video.
